Masifio
Meet our Team
Quentin and Annie Robb
Managing Director/Owners
Quentin has been farming vegetables since 2000, and is the unstoppable visionary behind Masifio. He is passionate about improving the soil, growing good, healthy produce, and blessing the community around the farm. While his favourite place is out in the fields on the tractor, he can be found working from before dawn until late at night in every area of the farm, solving problems and seeing potential and possibility everywhere.
Annie is the glue that holds everything together. She also makes amazing jam and pickles from the farm produce.

Lulu Mahundi
Packing Manager

Lulu handles many responsibilities, both in the office and on the pack house floor, ultimately ensuring that all our orders are packed correctly and sent to the correct destination.

Lucas Michael
Assistant Production Manager

Lucas manages the production side of the business, and makes sure that the pack house has everything they need to fulfil our orders. With over 120 products to keep track of, it is no small job!

Ephraim Mfilingi
Greenhouse Supervisor

Ephraim was with us at the start of our tunnel production, and has been at the centre of our evolution from basic tunnels to the sophisticated greenhouse system that we now operate. It has been a steep learning curve and now he is a proper fundi!

Abdul Kangessa
Refrigerated Transport Contractor

Mzee Kangessa works his magic to make sure that, come rain or shine, our produce gets to its destination on time, every time. We couldn't run our business without him.
Mage Mligo
Packing Supervisor

Mage has been working with Masifio from the very beginning and plays a critical leadership role amongst the packhouse staff. She oversees the team responsible for grading and packing all non-leafy veg.

Agnetha Mhoka
Packing Supervisor

Agnetha oversees the team responsible for the harvesting, grading, and packing of all our leafy veg, salads, and herbs. That is thousands of packets each week during high season.

Lucas Kigula
Irrigation Supervisor

Lucas manages our automated irrigation system. His perfectionism and attention to detail mean that our tiniest seedlings thrive even in the height of the dry season. And with a 7 month dry season without a drop of rain, this is an important job!

Baraka Mafunde
Nursery Supervisor

Getting our plants off to the best start is critical to our success. Baraka does a fantastic job of making sure this happens, as well as managing a demanding planting schedule. We couldn't grow half the variety of products we do without his organisational skills.
Petro Luhala
Mushroom Production Supervisor

Petro is responsible for managing the growing and harvesting side of our mushroom farm. He puts in long hours, using fans and water to create the precise environment required in the growing rooms. It is an art, and the timing of harvest has to be precise too.

Musa Tweve
Compost Yard Supervisor

Musa takes care of the compost-making side of the mushroom farm. It is a high tech process using computer controlled fans, but Musa's years of experience are essential for us to produce a consistent product, no matter what the weather.

Marko Nyamya
Groundsman

Marko can turn his hand to just about anything, from gardening to carpentry, brick or stone work, so his time is in high demand all around the farm! His hard work and artistic eye are evident all around us.

Victor Kiblungwa
Scouting and Spray Supervisor

Victor is the first one out on the fields every morning, and often the last one to leave in the evening. It is his job to make sure that any pests or diseases are detected early and taken care of before they get out of control.

Derrick Sichilima
Driver and Logistics

Derrick has driven our delivery truck for many years. He is super reliable, and his punctuality and helpfulness are well known to our customers. He is a great ambassador of our business.
